Saitama Marathon office staff participated in the “Saitama New Urban Center Jog & Clean Up Operation,” a tie-up project with PROGING held on Monday, October 13, to clean up the course and prepare to welcome the runners!

Plogging” is a coined word combining the Swedish word “PlockaUpp” and the English word “jogging,” meaning to pick up trash while jogging. The event combines fitness and social contribution activities, and has been held in more than 100 countries around the world and in many regions in Japan.
Approximately 40 people participated in the progging event. The runners, who were divided into groups, put on military gloves and picked up trash as they jogged from the start of the Saitama Marathon to the first gate at the east exit of Saitama Shin-Toshin Station.

During the activities, communication naturally took place, and we were able to deepen exchanges with other participants we were meeting for the first time. There were many participants who had entered the Saitama Marathon, and the time we spent sweating and laughing together was very precious!

We hope that even more people will participate in the next event and that the circle will be even larger!
Thank you very much to everyone who planned and participated.
