The rules shall be in accordance with the rules of the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) for the year 2024 and the regulations of this competition.

In the marathon, the runners may change places only once at designated points on the course. However, guide dogs are not allowed to accompany runners. Runners must make their own arrangements.
The time limit is based on the gun. The final runner in the marathon and 8km divisions may take up to 20 minutes to cross the start line after the gun is sounded.

Entries will be accepted on the official website of the event (https://saitama-marathon.jp/entry/ ). Entries will close as soon as the maximum number is reached.
*When applying, you need to register as a RUNNET member (free) in advance.
*An entry fee of 220 yen (tax included) will be charged if the total payment is 4,000 yen or less, and 5.5% (tax included) of the total payment will be charged if the total payment is 4,001 yen or more.
Those who have made a donation (50,000 yen or more) to support the hometown of Saitama City may participate in the marathon portion of the race (a total of 50 people, limited to those living outside of Saitama City, will be eligible, on a first-come, first-served basis). In addition, those who donate 320,000 yen or more and 370,000 yen or more may participate in the premium box quota (320,000 yen is for four runners and 370,000 yen is for five runners). (Applications will be accepted from noon on Thursday, August 1, 2024 (first-come, first-served basis). Details will be announced on the official website of the event, the Saitama City website, etc.
- Competition method

- In each category, if the finish is not completed within the time limit, the competition will be cancelled.
- For the marathon and 8km divisions, barriers will be set for traffic, security, and competition management. In addition, the competition will be canceled if there is a significant delay even at points other than the checkpoint.
- Competitors who have passed the barrier closing time or who have been ordered to stop the race shall remove their athlete bibs (number cards) and get into the designated accommodation vehicles. (except for the first barrier).

If you wish to receive the entry guide in paper form, it will be issued for a fee (500 yen). If you wish to receive a paper copy of the entry form, a fee of 500 yen will be charged. - If the event is canceled for reasons not attributable to the organizer, the entry fee will not be refunded.

- The entry fee will not be refunded if the event is canceled due to reasons not attributable to the organizer, such as disasters, weather conditions, incidents, accidents, infectious diseases, etc.
- The organizer is not responsible for delays in registration or payment due to problems with internet equipment or lines.
