charity
The Saitama Marathon is based on the concept of “One of East Japan’s leading marathon festivals where everyone can enjoy sports and anyone can participate,” and we aim to provide support to medical personnel and create a society where people can enjoy sports regardless of whether they have a disability or not. We have been working to realize this and popularize social contribution through sports.
As part of this effort, runners are asked to donate 200 yen during the entry process (on the RUNNET entry site), which will be donated to two organizations: the Japanese Red Cross Society Saitama Prefecture Branch and the Saitama Prefecture Sports Association for the Disabled. did.
In addition, as part of the recovery efforts for the 2020 Noto Peninsula Earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024, a fundraising campaign was held at the Saitama Marathon Festival venue on the day of the race. We donated to relief funds related to the “2020 Noto Peninsula Earthquake” in collaboration with the Ishikawa Prefecture Community Chest of Japan. Thank you very much to everyone who cooperated with the fundraising activities.
